That is indeed the question! 😊 Penang is a special and lucky place – we are blessed with an abundance of great tasting, mouthwatering food – so much so, that we made it to CNN’s top 22 travel destinations of 2022 with delicious food being one of the primary highlights.
The question remains though – do we eat to live or do we live
to eat?
The answer, first and foremost – we live to become Truth. This
is the reason we eat and live.
Living Well
For some of us, we measure how well we are living, by how
well we eat and with whom we share the meal with. Eating well can symbolize
prosperity and abundance – and eating itself promotes the release of feel-good hormones such as dopamine – all in all which makes eating a very enjoyable
experience for most of us. 😊
When we step back and reflect on it however – we may sometimes
wonder – is eating the only thing we look forward to in our lives? Is our goal
just to eat 3 times a day really well, and repeat this until we die, or is
there a bigger purpose for our existence that we can look forward to?
The Reason We Eat and Live – To Become Truth
In the time of incompletion, eating can take centre stage in
our lives. After all, eating makes us happy and it helps us survive.
In the time of completion though, we don’t need external
factors such as the attachment to food to make us happy. In this age of
completion, we can realize the reason we came to this world is to live eternally
in the Land of Truth, where there is no death.
Everyone wants to live happily forever – and now is such a
time when we can achieve this from within our minds.
When we discard all our false human mind, go to the existent
world which is Truth where there is no death and are reborn from there – then we
can live forever.
To do this, we must find a place where we can become Truth
and learn from there.
This is the reason we eat and live.
